Looking back on my four years as a civil engineering student, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible support provided by ISFAP. They lifted the financial burden of my tertiary education, allowing me to focus on my studies and extracurricular activities, and provided me with mental health and productivity talks that kept me motivated and on track.
Whenever I needed help or advice, the bursary support administrator was always available to lend an ear and offer support. Their stipends provided me with the resources to access tutoring services when it was needed and internet access during the COVID pandemic, which made learning from home a lot easier.
But the sponsor's support wasn't limited to financial assistance. They also held workshops that helped me develop my interpersonal skills and network with other ISFAP students. These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my personal and professional development.
As a civil engineering student, my dream was to work in the energy sector. Thanks to the support of ISFAP, I was able to conquer the Wits edge and gain the skills and experience necessary to pursue my career aspirations.
I am forever grateful to ISFAP for their unwavering dedication and support. I hope that by sharing my experience, I can inspire more high school students to apply for this bursary and receive the same life-changing support that I did and more.
